About Thula Sizwe

Thula Sizwe is a ten man, Zulu song, drumming, and dance ensemble from South Africa. They have traveled the world doing presentations in concert halls, schools, and churches, introducing audiences to South African culture, and promoting peace and understanding. The group performed at Nelson Mandela’s inauguration celebration, did workshops with Paul Simon, and have recorded several highly acclaimed CDs. In spite of their incredible talent most members of the group do not have running water at home. The income they earn from their US tours is their major source of support for them and their extended families for the rest of the year. They also support local charities in South Africa that assist orphans of HIV / Aids.
